Lita Rossana Ford She was a British-born American musician, singer and writer. The latter half of the 1970s she was a guitarist in the hard rocking all-girl band The Runaways. The group wasn't successful on the scene in their home country of the United States, it gained huge popularity abroad. Ford began a solo heavy metal career after the breakup from her band in 1979. She began voice lessons, and then released her debut solo album , 'Out for Blood' followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge. Both the song "Kiss My Deadly" and ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were huge hits. Unfortunately, the success of her career wasn't long-lasting and for several years she went under the radar.
