Lita Rossana Ford She was a British-born American musician, singer and writer. The latter half of the 1970s she was a guitarist in the hard rocking all-girl band The Runaways. The group wasn't successful on the scene in their home country of the United States, it gained huge popularity abroad. Ford began a solo heavy metal career after the breakup from her band in 1979. She began voice lessons, and then released her debut solo album , 'Out for Blood' followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge.
