Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American model actor author designer and activist for animal rights. Her films comprise Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). New York was her home and she grew up in a creative environment. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant, and then turned to acting and modeling. The first two films she appeared in her name was acknowledged as a winner of an award called the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. MacGraw's 1970 movie Love Story was an international success, earning the actress an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. With just three movies she was the highest-rated female box-office star worldwide. Handprints, signatures and footprints were immortalized in 1972 by Grauman's Chinese Theater. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, and other films. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw is divorced three times.
